Where am I going?

Happy November!! I seriously can't believe how fast this year is going by. November!

Sorry I've been absent - lots of projects that I've been tending to. Nothing fancy and secret, just preparing for the craft fair.

I decided to jump on the boat and FINALLY make fabric buckets to sell at the craft fair. They're actually a lot of fun. See? They even like to take pictures with pumpkins!

Blog Giveaway - fabric bucket (1 of 2)

I've been going back and forth about this whole blogging thing lately. What do I get out of it? What do you out there get out of it? Is it worth it? Bla bla bla. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you blog or follow blogs. So I've decided that I need to put up more tutorials. I make all kids of things and just don't document the process, even though it wouldn't be that hard to.

I also need you support if I am going to continue. Leave me a comment every now and then. Do you follow my blog? If so, let me know.

I promised a giveaway, do you remember? For post 100? Guess what this is?! Guess what you could win?! That Hope Valley bucket up there could be yours. :) Think of it as a bribe to get you to come back. If this goes well, maybe there will be more in the future. Just leave me a comment, maybe giving me some blogging advice. If you follow me, leave a second comment for a second chance to win.

I'll close comments on Friday 11/5 at midnight MST.
**ETA: Please leave a way for me to contact you!! **

  2. I love the bucket!! Super cute Ali! Advice- I'd say that blogging consistently(which I'm not awesome at) is important. Also, leaving comments on other people's blogs is a fun way to reach out & meet others. :)

  4. Your bucket is super cute -- totally my style :) i hear you about the blogging -- it is hard not to get discouraged now and again. For me personally, I try to have a "judgement-free" attitude about my blog. I don't think I will ever be someone who posts multiple times each week...and I am OK with that! It's just not the type of blog I write. I think the important thing is to enjoy what you're doing. At the end of the day, the work you put into it needs to be balanced by enjoyment/sense of accomplishment. If you have a sense of pride at the end of writing a post, then I'd say it is worth it! Best wishes!

  15. What a lovely basket! I have yet to try and make such a basket. I'd love for it to come live with me... I'd use it to hold my wares at a craft show i'm participating in on Dec 4th :-)

As for blogging.... if you ENJOY it, you should keep going. If you dread it and hate coming up with stuff to post, you should give it up. Thats what I ask myself every now and then... and I keep it up because I do enjoy it :-) Cheers!

  30. I also popped over from Talk About Fabric, your bucket is adorable. I understand your questioning the blogging, I think to get the most satisfaction it has to be what you want it to be. If you want more interaction, than tutorials, giveaways, swaps, quilt a longs are the way to go from what I've seen. Personally, I don't blog myself. But, I love blogland for my downtime and enjoy everything about it and participate as I can in swaps and such. Having to write or make tutorials and stuff would be a drag for me and I don't want another thing to do that I have to. Sorry so long of a comment, have a good one!

  31. You're a
genius! The basket is a fabulous idea. Something everyone can use.
Where is the craft show going to be? Can I order one by mail? I have
seen the quilts you make. The workmanship is excellent and the colors
and design show that you put a lot of time and thought into your
project. What new items are you working on? There is a market for well
made items. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching to see what else
    you come up with.
