Stash Match September

Sorry for being late this month. You were all away on holiday anyways though so you didn't mind too mich, right??

Just a reminder, here's how it works:
Each month I'll send out an inspiration photo and have 6 bloggers send me a picture of fabrics pulled from their stash based on that photo. Then I'll have you all try to match the blogger to their fabric stack. I'll compile everyone who got it correct and randomly select a winner from them! I know it was really hard last month, so not only will the bloggers give hints, but I will too!

This is not a contest to see which blogger has the best stash or who interpreted the theme most correctly by your standards or mine. They get the inspiration picture and can do with it what they want. You just have to match the fabric stack to the person. Let's keep it fun and positive!

The rules given to the bloggers:
1) Stack must have at least 10 fabrics, no more than 20
2) Each piece must be at least a Fat Eighth (no tiny scraps!)
3) No buying new fabric specifically for this

This month my inspiration was not Autumnal at all! Really I just picked this Koi print from I Heart Linen because I am so excited about this collection. I think the colors are perfect and the designs are fun. But we'll say that this is for my friends down under who are headed into Spring, ok?

Click on their photos to be taken to blogs. I hear there might be hints (in addition to those that I'm giving you below!). ;)

Sept Stash 13
Sept Stash 46

Wendi's stash has very even color distribution. A perfect balance! This is closest to what's in my stash. ;)

Melissa looks like she has some large cuts in her pile. It really makes me want to make a cute Wiksten tank in fushia with a Koi pocket.

Heather and Megan have a very sweet stash, no dark side to them! It makes me want cotton candy.

Diane also has a well rounded stash, but she went in a brighter direction. And is one of the few who picked up on green in the print.

Deborah wins for best blenders! She pulled in some green as well.

Amanda has one of my favorite prints at the bottom of her stack (also needs to become a Wiksten tank). I really want to rummage through her scraps because she does geeky perfectly (glasses, some cute animals, flowers!)

  1. What a fun activity! I'm hoping that I made at least one match.
