Blog Hop: States of Matter

We're into April which means it's time to celebrate working with angles!

Tomorrow Megan from Canoe Ridge Creations has an awesome mini to show you!! (And some cutting tips!!). For now, I have an alternate version to show you.

This is another quilt that had a first draft. ;) I made it in shades of purple - which was crazy hard because there are so many tones and matching them was almost impossible.

Alas, I'm not a purple lover, so when it came time to compile the quilts for the book I went with the seafoam and grey scheme. I also changed up the quilting to be straight lines - I wasn't in love with how I tried to convey the different states with wavy lines.

  1. Radiant orchid alert! And I love that orb print on the back - I had it in green and orange.
I quite like your different quilt textures for the different states, but I can be a bit of a contrarian ;)

  2. I like it in both color choices. A very fun quilt.

  3. The teal and gray color combo was a nice choice. Often I finish a quilt and wonder what it would look like in another color way so it's fun that you made two.
